Yard sign lender program: Vision Zero Safety Pledge

Take the Vision Zero Safety Pledge and make a commitment to be safer while driving, biking, walking and rolling:

Vision Zero Safety Pledge

I pledge to:

  1. Travel at a safe speed when driving
  2. Only drive while sober
  3. Obey traffic laws while traveling
  4. Be extra careful when traveling on wide, fast roads
  5. Hang up my phone and focus on driving while driving
  6. Work with neighbors to make my neighborhood a better place

Excessive vehicle speed is one of the leading causes of crashes in Portland. Vehicle speed affects stopping distance and fatality rates for people walking and people.
