Simple Temporary Street Use Permit (Parking Only)

  • Residential or Commercial Move
    Reserve on-street parking to facilitate a residential or commercial move.

  • Simple Parking Permit
    Reserve on-street parking to facilitate things like: loading/unloading for events, short term construction/utility work, tree trimming, etc.

Quick Permit
Permits you to to legally place a Storage Container or Drop Box on the street in an area with no parking restrictions. This permit does not reserve any parking. *Faster turn-around*

Once a Simple Street Use Permit request is submitted:

  • We will review your application, and email you a link to provide payment online..
  • Once we process your online payment and the permit request is approved, we will email you the permit.
  • We have a 7 business day turn around for simple permit requests.

Please note that nothing taller than 6ft may be placed any closer than 50ft to a non-signalized intersection.  This generally means that storage containers and moving trucks cannot be any closer than 50ft to a corner, unless that corner has a traffic signal.

Additionally, advance notification to adjacent property owners is required.

  • The City's Parking Enforcement staff will place the no-parking signs out in advance and enforce any violations of the permit.
  • Violation enforcement and towing are included in the permit price.

  • The Permit Center will provide you with "No Parking" plastic bags that you are responsible for posting. Post the sign on a street sign or structure (such as a barricade or sawhorse) and place the structure at the curb.
  • The City does not provide you with barricades to place your signs on. You can rent barricades at local companies, please search online for "barricade rentals"
  • If you would like to have the ability to tow, you may opt to have Parking Enforcement involved.
