Fixing Our Streets

Fixing our Streets

Maintaining the public right-of-way is one of PBOT’s fundamental responsibilities, and the bureau is committed to meeting this responsibility in the most forward-thinking and fiscally prudent manner possible. This objective featured prominently in Portland Progress I, and it is again a centerpiece in Portland Progress II.

The actions that are a part of this strategy are directed to achieving continued advances in asset management and preservation, enhancements to our capital project delivery process and successful interventions to dramatically improve safety throughout the city.

Measures of Success

  • Number of Fixing Our Streets Projects completed
  • Number of miles of missing sidewalk constructed
  • Number of miles of preventative maintenance
