Bringing your bike aboard Tri-Met buses, streetcars, and the light rail trains is a fast & easy way to get around the Portland region.  Just pay the regular fare, and bring your bike aboard the MAX or Streetcar, or put it on the front rack of any Tri-Met bus.  NO permit is needed & there are NO time restrictions

Bikes on Transit: Getting Beyond the Portland Metro area 

Want to take your bike to Vancouver, Mt Hood, the Wine Country or the Columbia Gorge?  There are many transit agencies that serve Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington and carry bicycles.

The AMTRAK Cascades runs between Eugene and Vancouver, B.C. and carries bikes for a $5 surcharge, no boxing or special preparation necessary.
