The best holiday event in Portland returns this winter.  As you travel around the zoo, you'll see a dazzling display of more than 1.5 million lights, and experience the zoo in a whole new way.

When is Zoo Lights?

ZooLights runs from Nov. 29, 2019, to Jan. 5, 2020, with the exception of December 25th.

The zoo opens each day at 9:30 a.m., and ZooLights hours are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

**Value Night hours are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Click here to read more and see what nights are "value nights".

Need an accessible ride to the Oregon Zoo?

The City of Portland would like to offer anyone who requires an accessible vehicle with a ramp discounted rides to and from this event when using PDX WAV.   Click the link below to claim the coupon and download to your phone.

Call PDX WAV to arrange the ride 30 minutes to an hour before you want to leave.   503-865-4WAV (865-4928)

Show the coupon to your driver and your ride will cost you only $5 each way.   (You pay the first $5 and the City will pay the rest - up to a maximum of $40.  If the ride is over $40, the driver will charge you $5 plus anything over $40)

Soon after the driver validates your coupon, you will be eligible to download a second coupon for your return ride home by clicking on the same link.

We would appreciate your feedback. Please visit PDX to complete our brief 10-question survey after your ride.

Use this link to download your coupon on the day of the event or google the code to open the claim screen.

You can also use Lyft and get the same value.  Instead of calling PDX WAV, use the Lyft app and enter the promo code  PBOTPDXWAV3    Then, request an accessible ride through the app.

How to use Lyft to request a wheelchair accessible vehicle:

Lyft calls their accessible vehicles "Access".   Make sure you add wheelchair in your settings.  Then, hit "get a ride" and enter your destination.  Scroll through the vehicles until you see one called "Access" and select it.  Then, a dispatcher will locate the closest driver to your location and send them to you.  **Request the ride even if you don't see a vehicle on the screen or it appears to be far away from you. Lyft will send a message to their accessible contractor and a vehicle will be sent to your location.  Not all of their available vehicles show on the screen.
