|Water Event Station Availability|
|The Water Event Station is available April 1 through Oct. 1.|
Take back the tap at your next event with Portland Water Bureau's Water Event Station (WES). WES is a portable water filling station that features five spigots to fill reusable water bottles at events.
How does WES work?
WES can be hooked directly to a hose bib within the Portland Water Bureau's service area. The water that flows from WES is the same water that flows from your kitchen tap.
How much water can a station dispense?
WES can dispense an unlimited volume of water because it’s connected to continuous-flow water sources. WES can refill over a thousand reusable water bottles per hour.
Does the WES service require electricity?
No electricity required – we’re all green!
Eligibility Requirements for Free Community Events
Below are the eligibility requirements for the use of WES at free events (not designed for profit) open to all members of the community.
Eligibility Requirements for Paid Events
Use of WES during for-profit or private events will require a security deposit and the cost of staff time.
How do I reserve WES?
WES is reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Begin by filling out a WES application either online or by paper. Applicants will be notified within two weeks of the receipt of the application if your event has been approved. Please submit your application at least 30 days prior to your requested event.
What do I need to provide while WES is at my event?
WES must be monitored by a representative of your group while in use at your event. An applicant can be held responsible for any intentional or non-intentional damage while in your care.
Applicants may also provide any desired water vessel, such as compostable/recyclable cups or refillable water bottles.
For questions or assistance in determining eligibility of an event, contact the Hydrant Permit Coordinator at 503-823-1256 or by e-mail.
