Project Overview

The Roselawn Bundle Water Main Project replaced 4,001 feet (over a half-mile) of water mains with more earthquake-resistant pipe, installed five new fire hydrants, and renewed water service connections to ninety-one homes.

Why

The pipe in the area is in poor condition. Since 2010, there have been more than ten breaks and leaks in the area.

Where

  • NE 48th Avenue from Roselawn Street to Killingsworth Street
  • NE 49th Avenue from Alberta Street to Killingsworth Street
  • NE Sumner Street from 57th Avenue to 60th Avenue
  • NE Roselawn Street from 62nd Avenue to Cully Boulevard

When

Construction begins in August 2019 and is expected to be completed during the summer of 2020.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

What's happening now?

Our work on this project is nearly complete.

In July 2020, crews will pave the final sections of road where we replaced pipes. These sections are

  • NE Killingsworth Street at 48th and 49th Avenues

  • NE Roselawn Street at 49th Avenue

Keep an eye out for lane closures while crews pave the street.

  • Transit: The bus stop at NE 49th Avenue and Killingsworth Street is affected, and others may be as well. Check Trimet.org for service alerts.

  • Safety: Please allow extra time when traveling through this area. Follow all signs and flagger directions for everyone's safety.

As with any construction project, the timing of our work is approximate and may change depending on weather and crew availability.
