Park Improvement Master Plan
Learn how the Portland Water Bureau is sprucing up Dodge Park.
Dodge Park has served the local community and the people of Portland for a long time-about a century, in fact. Today, the Portland Water Bureau's aim is to preserve and manage this park for future generations to enjoy.
Recently the Water Bureau began planning a face lift for the park: improvements to all areas from the boat launch to the comfort stations, new signs with information on security and events, updated play equipment, and better roadways and parking lots. Future phases of the plan include a small hosted campground for limited overnight stays and an amphitheater.
Some of the Dodge Park improvements are linked to other Portland Water Bureau projects happening around the park, namely the Sandy River Crossing Project Conduit Relocation Project (SRX). The Master Plan will be implemented over the next 10 years as the bureau's time and budget allows.
