Position Description: The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for the development, reporting, and monitoring of the bureau’s operating and capital budgets. This position is also responsible for performing complex financial, budgetary, policy, and operational analyses associated with managing the budget. The position is expected to work closely and collaboratively with bureau management team, supervisors, managers, and staff in various work groups to coordinate and develop the Bureau’s budget submittal and make sound business and financial decisions. The position provides lead work direction of a budget analyst. Work requires a thorough understanding of budgetary and financial analysis principles, methods and techniques; sound and objective policy analysis; professional judgment in selecting appropriate analytical methods in developing proposals and recommendations and the ability to present fact-based information and recommendations.

Location: Water Bureau Lab, 2010 N Interstate Ave, Oregon
Position Description: This is a skilled position, involving inspecting, installing, repairing, cleaning and testing small water meters. Duties include: installing and repairing water meters and including performing percentage calculations as needed; using a variety of hand and power tools; keeping a meter truck supplied with parts for many different types of meters; keeping safety equipment, instruments, tools and equipment in safe operating condition; driving the meter truck to the work site, analyzing sites for hazardous conditions; setting up the site with required traffic control equipment. Water Meter Technicians I may also repair and replace defective meter parts with new parts to meet tolerance specifications and reassemble repaired meters.
