On Thursday, October 22, 2015, a contractor overseen by the Portland Water Bureau will begin a water improvement project in a small field adjacent to the south side of SE Division Street and SE 80th Avenue.
A 36-inch valve and approximately 30-feet of 44” diameter water piping will be installed to provide improved operation and maintenance of our aging water system infrastructure.
Crews are scheduled to work onsite Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Construction is anticipated to be complete in one month.
Motorists and bicyclists traveling east and west bound on SE Division Street from SE 77th Avenue to SE 82th Avenue may experience minimal traffic impacts as work trucks enter and exit the roadway from the project site. Sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and TriMet bus stops in the area will not be affected.
Travelers are urged to use alternate routes and are reminded to drive slowly, and exercise caution when traveling in and around the construction area.
