This December, Portland Water Bureau employees joined together and filled 25 bags full of new, unwrapped toys to be donated to local children in need.
For the eighth year in a row, employees from Maintenance & Construction gave the most, donating 17 bags full of new toys plus two bikes!
Angie, a Management Assistant in Maintenance and Construction, coordinated the Water Bureau’s participation in the Annual Toy Drive, ensuring all toys are delivered to the Portland Fire & Rescue’s Toy N Joy Makers for distribution in the local community.
“I love organizing the Water Bureau toy drive. The friendly competition between work groups is so fun to watch,” she said. “The best part of the toy drive is knowing that the donations will be brightening the holiday season for so many kids. Every year, Water Bureau employees participate in the toy drive for that exact reason: the joy and inspiration of giving.”
