Start, Stop and Transfer Service Online

Have you purchased a property or sold your house? Are you moving from one rental to another? You can now request to open, close and transfer service online. Enter your move dates and information into the form to complete your move without having to call.

What the Water Bureau needs you to provide to complete your request.

Please be sure you have the following information ready before submitting an online service request.

New Property Owners

  • Your first and last name or the name of the party responsible for paying the water/sewer bill, if applicable.
  • Service address.
  • Date you are legally responsible for the property. (Start service date.)
  • A mailing address where you would like your bill delivered.
  • A telephone number and email address where Water Bureau staff can contact you in case they have follow up questions. This number or email will be added to your account records. 

Sold Property

  • Your first and last name and the service address.
  • The first and last name of the new owner (this is required to complete your request and available on closing documents).
  • Date you are no longer legally responsible for the property. (Stop service date.)
  • A forwarding address for your final bill.
  • A telephone number and email address where Water Bureau staff can contact you in case they have follow up questions. This number or email will be added to your account records. 

Landlord, Tenant, or Occupants

  • First and last name of the person responsible for paying the water/sewer bill.
  • Service address and/or account number.
  • The date your billing responsibility starts or ends.
  • If you are a renter, the first and last name of your landlord.
  • A mailing address where you would like your bill delivered, or a forwarding address for your final bill.
  • A telephone number and email address where Water Bureau staff can contact you in case they have follow up questions. This number or email will be added to your account records.
