The City of Portland's Environemental Services works to improve water quality, control erosion, reduce stormwater pollution, aid in long-term salmon recovery, and enhance wildlife habitat. Examples of stream and habitat enhancement projects include:

East Lents Floodplain Restoration along Johnson Creek

Mason Flats Wetland Enhancement in the Columbia Slough
