Mayor Ted Wheeler has convened a large coalition of public servants, civil rights leaders, religious leaders, labor unions, sports organizations, businesses and community leaders to come together as one to denounce violence of all forms at Pioneer Courthouse Square on August 14th, 2019.

Together, we will share the following message:

To anyone planning to commit violence during demonstrations in Portland scheduled for Saturday, August 17, 2019, you are not welcome here.

If you choose to commit violence, you will face legal consequences.

Where: Pioneer Courthouse Square

When: Wednesday, August 14, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

SPEAKERS: Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, Commissioner Amanda Fritz, Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty, Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw and select guest speakers from the coalition. More details to come.
