PF&R crews were dispatched to 9111 N Vancouver Ave at 7:27pm for a commercial fire. A passerby reported seeing flames and smoke coming from a metal warehouse that stores truck parts; a Portland Police Air Unit confirmed reports as they were passing over the area and assisted PF&R crews with identifying the fire's exact location. Crews arrived and observed that there was a fire on the outside of the building that was extending to the roof. One fire engine company connected to a water hydrant to supply firefighting efforts only to find that it was not flowing water; this created some difficulty in getting water to the scene but was corrected by another engine company that arrived shortly after. Fire investigators are sifting through the scene and interviewing witnesses to determine a cause. Updates will be provided when available.
