Proposed Design | Since the extractor assembly isn't UL-listed, we are submitting an Engineering Peer Review signed by an OR Mech. P.E. In addition, we are submitting a Functional Acceptance test that another OR Mechanical PE has written and will execute at time of equipment start-up. Tests executed before shipping and wiring diagram are also included in this appeal. |
Reason for alternative | The manufacturer did not offer UL-listing before shipping when we purchased the extractor equipment. They do now, but are in Colorado, so our best strategy for engineering oversight was to hire an OR Mechanical PE to write and execute functional testing. The engineer we've hired is able to inspect and test the assembly to check for electrical and pressure-related safety risks. (The mechanical systems associated with the room are not part of this appeal.) |
