| Reason for alternative | Communication with the Fire Plan Reviewer has questioned the usefullness of a standpipe connection at each roof terrace. Code requires a standpipe at the roof and landscaped roofs but the stepped nature of the buildings configuration would then necessitate all three roof planes to have standpipes. The overabundance of standpipes has been discussed as unnecessary with the Fire Plan Reviewer. We are looking to locate a single centrally located stand pipe at the roof of L4 to serve all three roofs. There is also an easily accessed standpipe at the top of L3 stairs that can be utilized to serve the L3 terrace. The Fire Plan Reviewer has expressed his support for the approval of this appeal. |
