| Proposed Design | Original text:
The proposed change is to have monitored Video Surveillance of the property during construction. The surveillance will begin once the second floor is framed and will be completed once the fire sprinkler system is complete and active. The surveillance company we plan on hiring is:
Advanced Locking Solutions
8300 SW Creekside place suite 150
Beaverton, OR 97008

4 security cameras will be one the property, one in each corner. The system will be able to detect a breach of the premise as well as performing fire watch. Security will be in place until the project is complete and the fire protection system is fully charged and operational.
The site security and fire watch protocol will be as follows:
• The construction site perimeter is secured with lockable temporary fencing.
• Temporary doors and locks will be installed at all building entry points
asap.
• Cameras will be monitored during the non-work hours including:
Weekdays: 16:00 – 07:00. Weekends/holidays: 24 hours a day.
• Cameras will have back-up power.
• When there is intrusion at the site, the system has the ability to respond
with lights & strobes as well as communicating with the intruder via an
audio system. In the event of a site breach, the monitoring company will
contact the local Police Department to respond. The system has the ability
to detect flames and smoke. In the event of flame or smoke detection, the
monitoring company will call the local Fire Department to respond.
• If attempted entry by unauthorized personnel is discovered, security personnel
will call the appropriate law enforcement agency and remain on line until
they arrive.

| Reason for alternative | Original text:
Hiring on-site security is very expensive. We feel we can get the same protection, if not better, with Video Surveillance of the property. Our surveillance will be monitored by a professional surveillance company that will have access to on-site security when unwanted activity is noticed. Also this will aid in not only fire protection but in theft protection in the
evenings and during the day.
Reconsideration text:
The proposed alternative methods for after hours security will provide
more reliable, continuous monitoring of the jobsite. The camera
surveillance system will be constantly live-monitored during after hours by
personnel, and will allow for the entirety of the jobsite to be kept under
observation at one time which therefore reduces the potential of the
occurrence and spread of fires during construction.
