| Requires | Rose City Rollers, who operate out of this building, are allocated two special events permits per month. We are requesting a third for the month of JUNE 2025 to fulfill their contract with the Resilience and Resistance Food conference group, Rose City Rollers plan to not use a July 2025 permit in order to remain in compliance with their 24 permit per year allocation.
|
| Code Modification or Alternate Requested | Kathryn Howard, a former employee of Rose City Rollers who is aware of the safety features and requirements of this building, has already advertised and sold out this reception event to attendees from across the nation (per a contract with Rose City Rollers) who are gathering for a food systems conference to work on resilience measures in the face of federal cuts to nationwide food assistance programming. How did this happen? An oversight on Rose City Rollers end in juggling the schedule. : / Ramifications: Unfortunately for me as the volunteer planner for this event at the conference, I am unable to find another affordable option to host for this many people, I have also put down a nonrefundable deposit with catering for this event. I am basically just asking for a Hail Mary here. |
| Proposed Design | We are requesting a third permit for the month of June. Rose City Rollers will not use one of the two permits for the building for July 2025. |
| Reason for alternative | N/A |
