Appeal Decision
The Administrative staff has reviewed your appeal regarding fire protection maintenance while vacant, demolition permit and kept secure: Approved with the following conditions.
• The buildings remain vacant and secure by ownership/management
• An issued demolition permit from Portland Permitting and Development must be obtained before the expiration of this appeal.
• Approval of this appeal is set to expire on 1/31/2027
• If any above conditions are not met within the timeline the Fire Marshal Office can revoke the approval of this appeal.
The Administrative Appeal Board finds that the information submitted by the appellant demonstrates that the approved modifications or alternate methods are consistent with the intent of the code; do not lessen the health, safety, accessibility, life, fire safety or structural requirements; and that special conditions unique to this project make strict application of those code sections impractical.
