This morning at 3:44 AM Portland Firefighters responded to fire in a single story house on the 1300 block of NE 112th. When fire crews arrived they noted grey smoke from the roof of the home and immediately began working to find and extinguish the fire. All of the people in the house got out before firefighters arrived, but the occupant was very concerned for her pets (4 dogs and 6 cats). The occupants were alerted to the fire by smoke alarms.

Firefighters located the fire in an attic space, but the way the house is constructed made access difficult at times. The fire was extinguished with all people and pets safe. This fire was caused by an electrical issue.
