Firefighter EMTs will be providing emergency medical support to demonstrators who will be marching from Revolution Hall (1300 SE Stark St.) to Irving Park (3498 NE 7th Ave) this evening. These emergency medical technicians will be equipped with basic medical supplies to render care to injured or sick members of the crowd on the march to and while at Irving Park and the march back to Revolution Hall.
They will be wearing their uniform red coat with patches and insignia and blue t-shirts identifying them as Portland Fire & Rescue Firefighters. There will also be a medical support van from PF&R that will trail at the rear of the march to and from Revolution Hall and be parked in the southwest corner of Irving park. If you or someone you are with needs their help, please move out of the crowd to an easily identifiable area, call 911 and be on the lookout for these firefighter EMTs. If there is someone near you that is able, ask them to flag down our firefighters. Identifying people who need our help will be challenging, but if we work together, we believe we can better ensure everyone’s health and safety. Portland Fire & Rescue would like to thank the community for their help and cooperation in this endeavor!
