The Multnomah County Task Force was requested from the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s office and was on the front lines of the fire for 14 days. This Task Force was made up of units from Portland, Gresham, and Corbett fire departments returned last night at almost midnight. The task force was comprised of an engine and water tender from Corbett, two brush units from Portland, and a brush unit and task force leader from Gresham.

The Task Force worked each day from 6 pm to 6 am doing things like putting out spot fires, mopping up fires, clearing brush but crews were mainly tasked with protecting structures threated by the more than 400 acre fire.  This fire, which is about 46% contained is the largest current wildfire in the United States.
