(Portland, Oregon) This year marks the 21st anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people at the World Trade Center site, Shanksville, PA, and at the Pentagon.

The Portland Firefighters Association and Portland Fire & Rescue will honor the fallen heroes with a ceremony in front of Portland Fire Station 1 (55 SW Ash St) at 10:00 AM, Sunday, September 11, 2022. Fire Chief Sara Boone and President Isaac McLennan will speak to the public. Fire Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty will be in attendance and Portland Firefighters Pipes & Drums Band will play as one of our fireboats does a water display. Members of the community are encouraged to attend.

Media staging will be available starting at 9:30 AM. Please use street parking.
