Companies from Southeast Portland responded late this morning to a residential structure fire. Fire could be seen extending into the attic and eaves at the rear of the home. One patient was identified and cross-trained paramedic firefighters began providing emergency medical care. An ambulance from AMR also responded to assist with patient care and transport.

Firefighters entered the home and conducted a thorough primary and secondary search, once the structure was confirmed vacant, crews focused on extinguishing the fire.

Within 10 minutes, crews brought the fire under control.

A fire investigator is on-scene working to determine cause and damage estimates.
