Community Garden Plot Request Form
If you are interested in becoming a Community Gardener, please complete this form.

Depending on the garden, you may be on a waitlist for several years. We will contact you via phone or email when a plot is available and you will be asked to:

1. Pay for the garden plot
2. Agree to actively garden the plot
3. Abide by the Community Garden policies and procedures

In the meantime, the Friends of Portland Community Gardens (our volunteer nonprofit partner) will email you with ways to connect with community gardens while you're waiting for a garden plot of your own. They will also send updates about new gardens that may be planned for your neighborhood. We appreciate your patience as we work to build more gardens and create more opportunities for growing food in Portland.

2nd Community Garden Selection
Thanks for your interest in joining the Community Gardens program. Once you've been assigned a plot, you'll be given the opportunity to re-register for the plot each year.

2012 Garden Plot Costs
$10 - starter plot (approx 50 sq ft)
$21 - single plot (approx 100 sq ft)
$43 - standard plot (approx 200 sq ft)
$85 - double plot (approx 400 sq ft)
$20 - ADA accessible raised bed (approx 4x8 sq ft)

A starter or single-sized plot is recommended for beginning gardeners and/or families of 1-2 people. Standard-sized plots are good for families of 2-3 people, and double-sized plots are more appropriate for large families or groups and experienced gardeners.

RESIDENT/NON-RESIDENT FEES A resident is anyone who occupies a permanent residence inside the city limits of Portland, which includes the Portland Public, Parkrose, and David Douglas School Districts. Anyone else is considered a non-resident and will be assessed a non-resident fee.

Scholarships are provided to individuals or families who need assistance.

Please indicate your preference for plot size and raised bed in the comment box below.
