We assign plots each year February through May, as space is available. If your request is received after the cutoff date for plot assignments, or there are no available plots in your preferred garden, your name will be added to the waitlist for next year. Once you've been assigned a plot, you'll be given the opportunity to renew your plot each year.
If you have any questions, please email us at pkcomgard@portlandoregon.gov or call 503-823-1612.
Garden Plot Costs and Sizes
Starter or single-sized plots are recommended for beginning gardeners and/or families of 1-2 people. Standard-sized plots are good for families of 2-3 people, and double-sized plots are more appropriate for large families or groups and experienced gardeners.
We will contact you via phone or email when a plot is available and you will be asked to;
Scholarship Assistance
If you cannot afford the cost of the plot, we can offer scholarship assistance. Please complete the scholarship form and return it to the Community Gardens office. If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund, you may do so through the Portland Parks Foundation website.
Plot Transfer
If you already have a garden plot in the program and want to make a change, please do not fill out this form, instead submit a Transfer Request Form.
Please do not submit more than one Garden Plot Request form. If you have a question about or need to make an update to a previously submitted form, please contact our office at pkcomgard@portlandoregon.gov or 503-823-1612. Submitting duplicate requests may inadvertently affect your waitlist seniority.
