Update June 11, 2014: The Portland City Council expects to vote by Nov. 14, 2014 on a Transportation User fee or similar revenue mechanism to raise money for transportation. PBOT has updated the web calculator from the proposed $11.56 fee to the 3-year phase-in of $6 single-family residential fee in the first year, $9 in the second year, and $12 in the third year and beyond.
Use this calculator to see estimates of rates for multifamily and non-residential properties, which would be phased in, proportionately with the single-family residential rates. This reflects the latest proposed amendment by the City Council, subject to change.
Households in Portland would pay the following monthly rates:
|Residential Household Rates||Year 1
|Single Family Residential||$6.00||$9.00||$12.00|
|Single Family Residential - Low Income Discount||$4.20||$6.30||$8.40|
|Multi-Family Residential - Low Income Discount||$2.47||$3.70||$4.93|
Please select your property type. The property criteria will display according to your property type selection. Enter the information and click on the Estimate My Fee button to calculate your monthly fee.
See the rate details page for more information about how the rates are calculated, a credit for small business owners, and how to calculate the appropriate use in a mixed-use building.
Note that this fee is just an estimate. Your actual fee will depend on the actual property use and characteristics on file for your location. Rates after the third year will be adjusted for inflation.Contact us if you have questions about your fee or the Street Maintenance and Safety Fee in general.
