The City of Portland Bureau of Development Services has started a pilot Residential Reactivation Permit Program for unfinaled permits issued prior to October 1, 2010. The permit listed on this letter has been selected to be included in the pilot program.

The pilot program allows an additional 30 calendar days to request one no-charge reactivation inspection.  If there is no response within the 30 day period, the old permit will be permanently expired and the property owner will be required to purchase new permits for the unfinaled work in the future.

In order to complete an inspection, permit holders must have the following items on-site during the inspection:

Approved Plans (required)

  • Standard size plan copy is required.
  • If you don’t have a plan copy, you may obtain a plan copy at Resource Records located in the Development Services Center on the 1st floor at 1900 SW 4th Ave.
  • If you are the “homeowner on record”, you will not be charged the $15 research fee. However, you will be charged printing fees.

Orange Inspection Card (preferred but not required)

  • If you don’t have an orange inspection card, you may obtain one at no cost at Document Services located on the 2nd Floor at 1900 SW 4th Ave.

As a permit applicant and/or homeowner who received notification, please fill out the information requested below. If you have questions or need assistance, please email R2P2@portlandoregon.gov or contact Cynthia Kotaniemi at 503-823-9258.
